Racetrack roulette is a usually a version of French roulette game which means it is a single zero game. The object of the game is the same as in any other version of roulette – to select some number or combination that contains the winning number. Racetrack roulette offers the player additional betting opportunities. The racetrack is an addition betting grid that corresponds to sections of the free roulette wheel. The racetrack is in the shape of a long oval.  There are different kinds of bets that can be placed on the racetrack. There are Neighbor bets. This is a bet on five continuous numbers on a segment of the wheel. The casino gambling player picks the number and the bet covers the two numbers to the left and the right. The French bets are the Voisin du Zero and the Tiers du Cylindre.

The French bets cover larger sections of the wheel than the Neighbor bet does. The Voisin du Zero bet covers nine numbers and is in the center section of the racetrack. The Tiers du Cylindre bet cover six numbers and is represented by the right section of the racetrack. All of these bets are subject to the table minimum. There are also Announce bets which include Finales. These are numbers that end in the same digit.  Orphans are bets on a five number string. These additional betting opportunites make the game more complicated but more interesting since they increased the betting and winning opportunities for the players.
